​Bridges To Life

Kirk Blackard grew up in northeast Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law, and is retired from a career with Shell Oil Company.

Kirk began volunteering with Bridges To Life in 1999. He has served as a facilitator on numerous projects and on the Board of Directors since 2012, including a term as Chairman of the Board until 2017. He is the author of Restoring Peace, the centerpiece of the BTL curriculum, as well as several other books on related topics.

Kirk and his wife Marcia, also a BTL volunteer, live in Houston. They have been married for 47 years, and have two sons and five grandchildren.
