​Bridges To Life

Judge Katherine Cabaniss Parsley is a native Houstonian who began her career as a prosecutor at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in 1994, prosecuting cases ranging from white collar crime to capital murder. After 12 years, she became the Executive Director of Crime Stoppers, and was appointed by Governor Perry to the 248th District Court of Harris County in 2013.

Off the bench, Judge Parsley is a member of the Boards of Directors of Bridges to Life, the Association of Victims of Domestic Abuse, and the Women’s Fund. She received the 2008 Director’s Community Leadership Award from the FBI, and was named one of
the Fifty Most Influential Women in Houston in 2011.

Katherine is married to Dr. Brian Parsley, an orthopedic surgeon. They currently enjoy seven grandchildren and counting!
